  • Accepted by 1,600+ GP practices Our Shared Care Plans can let ongoing treatment move to the NHS, instead of paying privately long-term.
  • A thorough 60–90 minute assessment A structured DIVA interview, rating scales and checks for co-occurring conditions.
  • Full written report in 5 days Your diagnosis and proposed treatment plan in writing, included in the price.
  • No extra charge for extra time If your assessment needs a follow-up session to complete, it’s included.

Comparing on price? Ask:

  • Will my GP accept the diagnosis for shared care?
  • Is the clinician regulated (GMC, NMC or GPhC)?
  • How long is the assessment?
  • Is a written report included?

How we assess you

We assess and diagnose ADHD using:

  • Clinical interviews
  • Rating scales
  • Behavioural observations

We also evaluate how symptoms affect daily life and identify any co-occurring conditions.

How we treat ADHD

ADHD is treatable with medication, and there is sometimes a role for other approaches such as ADHD coaching or psychotherapeutic interventions.

Response and dosage vary by individual, so finding the right medication and dose often requires a titration period.

Assessment

The assessment typically lasts 60 minutes, during which the clinician performs a DIVA interview and can then provide a diagnosis and discuss treatment options if needed. If more time is required, the clinician may extend the session; if that isn’t possible, a follow-up to complete the assessment is scheduled at no extra cost.

Written report

Includes the clinical diagnosis and a proposed treatment plan if applicable, provided within 5 working days of your assessment.

Ongoing treatment costs

The assessment fee covers the assessment and report. If your clinician recommends medication and you decide to try it, follow-up appointments are needed to monitor your response and make adjustments, with timing agreed between you and your clinician at each stage.

Adult follow-up (15 min)
£150
Child follow-up
£335

Medication is paid to the dispensing pharmacy, not to Berkeley Psychiatrists. After titration, a shared care plan can move ongoing treatment to the NHS. GPs review follow-up frequency before accepting and can refuse, but over 1,600 GP practices have accepted our Shared Care Plans.
